Siamese Bloodline
My goal is to create a bloodline of Black-Eyed Russian Blue Point Siamese, with dumbo ears in standard coat.
Standard
There is no current standard for Black-Eyed Russian Blue Point Siamese. Based on the descriptions for B.E. Siamese and Russian Blue Point Siamese the following standard is what I will be using:
Black-Eyed Russian Blue Point Siamese: Body color to be ivory with a deep gray cast (the darker the better) gradually and evenly shaded over the saddle and hindquarters towards the belly, being darkest at the base of the tail. The points (nose, ears, feet, tail, and tail-root) to be a dark gray-blue. They should not have a definite or distinct line of demarcation but rather a toning or merging with the remainder of the coat. There should be no white hairs, blotches, streaks, or mealiness of the color. Eyes black.
Dumbo ears: Dumbo rats to be shown in any recognized color, marking, or variety. The distinguishing feature being their low ear set. The ears are large and round, set low on the sides of the head. Head to form an equilateral triangle when viewed from above.
Genetics
Non-agouti (aa), black (B-), two Siamese (ch), dilute (dd), with black eyes (P/RR), dumbo (dudu), and have the self marking (H). aa B- chch dd P- RR dudu H/H
Progress, Challenges and Health
Currently I have self B.E. Siamese, some of which carry Russian Blue.
One challenge is getting the first B.E. RB Siamese, since it is currently being carried but not showing. The next challenge will be improving conformation and removing any white toes that may come up during the breedings to bring out the RB. The next will be to create dark points with good shading.
TBW Garnet developed a pituitary tumor, this line will be monitored closely to see if it was genetic or otherwise. Due to complications in Isis, his daughter's, breeding he will not longer be in my lines...possibly less of a concern in this line, though will still be watched since relatives are in the line still.

Purpose: Pass on wonderful personalities and health. Improve head and ear type. Increase size. Pass on Garnet's dark points and nice shading.

Purpose: Pass on Rogue and Ace's amazing temperaments and good health. Improve overall structure and ears. Bring out the Russian blue color that the parents carry.
Kept:RAVN Luken - Good conformation, wonderful markings and an amazing personality. RAVN Nahia - Beautiful shading, good structure and sweet, loving personality. RAVN Hodei - Nearly solid black only a few white toes, good structure, sweet personality.
02.28.2012 RAVN Secrets of Isis x RAVN Luken
Purpose: Both parents have wonderful, loving personalities and great health. Improve the ears and head. Improve the darkness of points and overall shading (Isis is stunning and Archangel is very dark as well). Produce Siamese. Used a younger male as he was the best fit, a great improvement upon his father (Ace) which was the male I originally had planned to use, after much thought it would have been a step back to use Ace...therefore Archangel was used even though he is younger than preferred.
Notes: Complications with birth. Only one born, passed shortly after...rest never came. Antibiotics started to help Isis reabsorb the unborn babies. Currently determining if this was her age that caused it or something else, so to be safe breedings have been returned to before 12 months until more research is done.
Planned Breedings
08.2012 RAVN Nahia x RAVN Luken
Purpose: Continue the wonderful temperaments from this line. Improve the already nice markings and heads. Still hoping to produce B.E. Russian Blue Siamese, it is carried in both parents but so far no RB has cropped up in this line.
